Making dreams come true
Taking your horse on holiday requires a little more time and attention. At BoksheideBuiten, we are happy to take this into account. Gathering everything you need for your horse and yourself, attaching the trailer to the car, filling the hay net, powders, special bucket that your horse only wants to drink from, and so on and so forth. Planning the route to Eersel, filling up the car and, oh yes, don’t forget to take that lovely fleece blanket with you.
Start of your stay
Arriving with horses requires time, rest and attention-for both guest and horses. We understand that this is a time to slow down, go for a ride in the woods and then do nothing else. Anyone who has booked a holiday home with us with horses is welcome from 2 p.m. instead of 4 p.m. In this case, you may disregard the arrival and departure times in the automatic Extraordinary Welcome email (which you will receive two weeks before your arrival). The check-in time of 4p.m. was devised for practical reasons, but for this target group with horses, BoksheideBuiten has its own exclusive check-in. Please call me shortly before arrival- 15 minutes in advance is enough. I will ensure that I am on site to welcome you.
Where horses can settle in
First, the horses are allowed to leave the trailer. They go to the paddocks, where they can nibble, drink and acclimatize. Meanwhile, you have space to unload, use the tack rooms and park the trailers. slow down and settle in. Once everything is calm, the horses can be prepared for a nice outdoor ride or walk in the woods. Explore the surroundings and breathe in the forest air. If you wish, you can ask me to bring a cool box with fresh produce – that can be arranged too.
Slowly becoming part of the place
The cottage is open for you from 4 p.m. The horses can then be put out to pasture, in the paddock or in the stable with well-filled hay nets that are already hanging ready. We clear away the manure twice a day for you, so you don’t have to worry about that either 😃. For you, your stay begins, for the horses, relaxation begins. When you return from your ride, please call me 15 minutes in advance. I will be there to check you in and answer any questions.
On the day of departure, we ask you to vacate the cottage by 10 a.m. for cleaning. Afterwards, there is still plenty of time to go horse riding and relax and end the morning in a relaxed manner. The key can be left in tje lock of the saddle cabinet. Around 1 p.m., I will drop by for a farewell drink. A moment to look back, for a last visit to the toilet and to wave goodbye. The grounds must be vacated by 1.30 p.m. at the latest.
Those who prefer to leave earlier and do not wish to make use of this last moment can leave the grounds before 11 a.m. This allow us to prepare everything in peace and quiet for the next guests.
