On the edge of the Acht Zaligheden lies the hamlet of Boksheide. From time immemorial, it has been a place surrounded by woods and heathland fields, early on in history, an anchorage for commercial travellers and pilgrims. The Boksheide and BoksheideBuiten hamlet lies on the edge of the municipality of Eersel near the Belgian border in the Kempen nature reserve.

Whether it is the wide view over the fields, the peace and space, waking up to an orchestra of birdsong, a rabbit hopping around, a deer at the edge of the woods, the horses in a green meadow, the blossoming fruit trees, the field bouquet, the call of the tawny owl or enjoying the seasons, you can experience it all with us.

The Area
Favourite walking, cycling and horse-riding routes start right on the doorstep of BoksheideBuiten, where you can spend hours enjoying the beautiful countryside and the spacious Cartierheide. Thanks to the signposted junctions, it’s very easy to follow the routes.
The charming village of Eersel, with its many terraces, Burgundian restaurants and nice shops situated on the historic market square. In the surrounding villages, such as Bladel, Hapert and Bergeijk, many farm shops sell their local products. Take a stroll along Farmer Ad’s path to Koetje Kaat for a delicious farm-fresh ice cream and milk.
SterrenStrand is the best water and sand play paradise for children, within walking distance of BoksheideBuiten. The Bikepark Eersel is full of challenges and is free to acces. On a drizzly day, You Jump is the ideal solution.
For family outings, packages and events for adults, head to Hof van Heden. New is FlingGolf, a slightly different take on golf and followed by homemade ‘pasteitje’, steppegras or pancakes in their child-friendly restaurant.
