Ping 🎼, a booking is coming in! To stay high I  the rankings, it is important to add it directly in the calendar, 18 – 20 April Jasper & guests. Jasper sends a message to ask what fun activities are in the area and downloads our Great Stay App. Can we also go on the tractor 🚜?

Jasper and his group of friends.

The group of seven know each other trough the student investment association B & R, at TU Eindhoeven. They are in the investment group Helicopter Holding together and organise a weekend trip every year. This year, the choice fell on a holiday by bike to explore the area south of Eindhoven.

Day of arrival.

The men arrive by bike from Eindhoven around 10pm, in a message from Jasper he writes that they are quite bothered by headwinds…🍺🍺, the weather is beautiful and nice and warm. After checking in, they set off on their bikes. To Hapert, Bladel and Reusel for a pub crawl, they still have plenty of energy.

Saturday activity.

At 10am a few heads poke out, the breakfast table is prepared, nice in the morning sunshine to the singing of the birds. The others also surface. Making small talk, they already regret that the bike is there only means of transport 🙃. After breakfast, fresh and fruity on the bike towards to Valkenswaard to go canoeing on the Dommel river. This trip takes about an hour or two depending on the space.

BBQ!

The canoe trip is a bit of a wet affair, that’s what happens when you get off balance 🚣, a few items of clothing hang out to dry with a pair of trainers attached. Having fun is the most important right?

The day of departure.

At quarter to ten, I cosy up to the men and ask how they like their stay, a big smile is on their faces. That makes me feel virtuous 😊. Sunday has another fun finale, a tour of the Achelse Kluis abbey buildings, culminating in an indulgent tasting of 4 flavours of abbey beer, cheers!

After the final bike ride back through the Leenderts and Valkenswaard, the group arrived back in Eindhoven. It was a great weekend and the accommodation, the peaceful and green surrounding are excellent for getting away from the city environment for a while.
